“Deficiencies” featured in ASK exhibit!

I am so thrilled to be part of the Arts Society of Kingston’s Poetic License exhibit! In this exhibit, Poetry Barn editors offered ASK artists a selection of poems to turn into works of art. I submitted in March, and my poem “Deficiencies” was chosen by the editors — and chosen again by artist Pamela Timmins! She created a watercolor called “Sudden Urge to Tumble,” borrowing a line from the poem as her title. The watercolor is playful with the air of a children’s book illustration.

You can read the poem, see the painting, and listen to my audio here. Be sure to scroll through the gallery and see all the lovely poems and artwork. I participated in a Zoom reading with these poets today, and I was so impressed by their work. I hope you enjoy it, too!
