Emily:
I liked the article very much. While reading through it, I envisioned a novel or nonfiction book coming out of it. I haven’t read it in 60+ years, but I was reminded of THE EGG AND I by Betty MacDonald. (This true-life novel produced the characters Ma & Pa Kettle, and they went on to become major characters in ten films.) Besides MacDonald’s work, other possibilities include books by Fannie Flagg, Bailey White, and Jean Shepherd.

Thanks, Howard! I also liked this piece very much since it offered a holistic view of me as a person. 🙂
Book of essays, definitely. That is my next major project.
