On the Blink

I have enjoyed some local press this week, and I can’t wait to share it with you.

On Friday, I met with a student reporter from UNF’s newspaper The Spinnaker. She came to my office on campus and we talked about poetry, teaching, disability in the arts, and, of course, York! Here’s the profile she wrote! There is even a brief video, where York gets his closeup!

Today, I was interviewed live in the Channel 12 studio for First Coast Living. I had a lovely time talking with co-hosts Haddie and Curtis. I also appreciated how the FCL staff showed me around the studio to make sure I was comfortable with the lights, cords, carpets, steps, and props! I felt very anxious about being under those bright TV lights, but everyone was so kind and ready to help me get comfortable. Here’s my First Coast Living segment.
