Get excited! I’m presenting virtually at Tudorcon 2026 in October! At Tudorcon 2025, I spoke about poetry in the Tudor Court:

What is Tudorcon?

Tudorcon is a conference about Renaissance history and culture. Its founder, Heather Teysko, runs The Renaissance English History Podcast, which is a fabulous resource for history lovers. Tudorcon takes place in Virginia, and this year it includes two venues: Agecroft Hall and Randolph-Macon College. Last year, my favorite talks were on Renaissance jewelry, the Jamestown brides, and Henry VIII’s psychological issues. I also enjoyed the virtual lute concert and Elizabethan court dance demonstrations.

I’ll be attending Tuddorcon from Home like I did last year. This is the fabulous virtual version of Tudorcon, which is the gold standard for virtual conferences. We tune in to all the talks and even enter our questions into a special Google form. Heather’s husband Jonathan moderates the chat and ensures that we get our questions answered.

This year, our amazing host Heather Teysko is giving everyone a free preview of Tudorcon 2026. In this “Taste of Tudorcon,” you can watch as eight speakers deliver a snippet of their talks…and I’m on the lineup!

A Taste of Tudorcon will be available Saturday August 29. Heather will go live on her YouTube channel at 3PM Eastern to answer questions.
